Take Control On The Absorption Drying Process Using An Air Dryer

Absorption Drying Process

Several industrial and chemical processes need a complete absence of humidity or moisture. Adsorption drying process cannot be complete without it. A lot of companies around the world spend large bucks just to generate a special moisture and humidity free environment. This is why heating dryers have been employed by many companies in controlling the humidity percentage. In fact, most of the manufacturing processes nowadays utilize more innovative methods of eliminating moisture. Using air compressor desiccant dryer is an effective way to absorb moisture. Popular chemicals agents are creating a big name in the industrial companies today. They find it cost-effective and increases production more than the usual.

Look for the effective chemical agents

Did you know that desiccant air dryer are effective chemical agents? It is designed to deal with the water vapor molecules running to the drying medium. It actually transfers the moisture to the air dryer. Generally, the absorbents are solid, spherical or granular in shape. The desiccant air dryer is rejuvenated by using a cost-effective process that furtherly adds on the profits. Dryers are categorized into 3: heatless dryers, deliquescent dryers, and membrane dryers.

Heatless dryers

The desiccant air dryers are also known as the heatless dryers. This is more effective in comparison to the traditional function of some other drying products. A highly compressed air will pass into a specialized pressure vessel with activated silica gel, alumina or a molecular sieve during the dehumidification process. The air in the vessel will be condensed and begins the cooling effect, dewdrops are generated, when the compression level increases. The dewdrops are now absorbed – moisture from the air is removed. The drying agent collects and retains, it does not dissolve in moisture. The heatless dryers have great features such as energy-efficient, significant cost benefits, clean and dry air.

Deliquescent dryers

The process has less or more the same with the heatless dryers. It consists of specialized pressure vessel filled with media or hygroscopic agent that absorbs the water vapor. The air is compressed and passed by the dryer. The dewdrops will be absorbed by the air dryer. The liquid will be drained periodically from the pressure vessel, then a new media will be introduced. This media comes into a briquette form or in a tablet form. The deliquescent dryers have great features such as low-pressure drop, no electrical power and prevents jams and airline freeze-ups.

Membrane dryers

The two process uses a hygroscopic agent while membrane dryers have a subtle difference in the dehumidification process. Initially, the compressed air is filtered using a coalescing filter. It removes the water or liquefied vapor and separate matter from the air. It also has great features such as reduces costs and energy consumption, no need for electrical power and has dew points compatibility of as low as – 60-degree Celsius.
